MG Commute EV Launched in Nepal at Rs 34.99 Lakh

G.O. Automobiles, the official distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has introduced the new MG Commute EV in the Nepali market. The electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) has been launched with an introductory price of Rs 34.99 lakh.

The MG Commute EV is positioned as a people-mover aimed at commercial operators, hotels, resorts, travel companies, corporate fleets, and large families seeking an electric transportation solution. The vehicle is based on MG's dedicated electric platform and is powered by a 100 kW electric motor.

According to the company, the Commute EV offers a claimed driving range of up to 332 km on a full charge under the MIDC testing cycle. It features a spacious cabin layout designed to accommodate multiple passengers while also providing a sizeable luggage compartment.

One of the key highlights of the vehicle is its flexible interior arrangement. The seats can be configured to maximise passenger comfort and cargo-carrying capacity depending on usage requirements. MG claims the vehicle offers 604 litres of luggage space.

The launch marks MG's expansion into Nepal's commercial electric mobility segment, which has seen growing interest from businesses looking to reduce operating costs and emissions. Electric vans and MPVs are increasingly being adopted by hotels, airport transfer services, and corporate operators as charging infrastructure and EV acceptance continue to improve across the country.
